Job summary

Levelociti is seeking a Security Engineer to join a remote-first team focused on Palo Alto Cortex XDR/XSIAM and security automation. You will configure and support Cortex XDR/XSIAM across enterprise environments and drive automation to improve threat detection and incident response.

The role is fully remote for U.S.-based candidates, offering a base salary of $100k-$130k plus comprehensive benefits, PTO, 401(k), and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cortex XDR and XSIAM.
• Experience building automated workflows and security playbooks.
• Solid understanding of security operations, EDR/XDR, SIEM, and incident response.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise security platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Security Engineer - Palo Alto Cortex XDR/XSIAM

We are working with an established IT Solutions & Managed Security Services Provider that is looking to add an experienced Security Engineer / Security Operations Engineer to join the growing security team. The organization supports enterprise customers across cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and managed services, with strong partnerships across many of the industry's leading technology manufacturers.

This is a fully remote, hands-on engineering role focused primarily on Palo Alto Cortex XDR, XSIAM, and security automation. We're looking for someone with experience across both platforms who can help configure and support security environments, build automated workflows and integrations, and improve threat detection, incident response, and overall security operations across customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and support Palo Alto Cortex XDR and XSIAM across enterprise customer environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated security workflows, playbooks, and integrations to improve security operations and incident response.
• Support threat detection, alert tuning, incident investigation, and automated response processes.
• Work with SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security, and other security technologies to support platform integrations and security operations.
• Troubleshoot security platform issues, optimize configurations, and identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
• Collaborate with security engineering and managed services teams to support ongoing customer needs and security initiatives.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with both Palo Alto Cortex XDR and XSIAM.
• Experience building and implementing automated workflows, playbooks, and security platform integrations.
• Solid understanding of security operations, EDR/XDR, SIEM, threat detection, and incident response.
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise security platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams in a remote environment.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with other security technologies such as CrowdStrike, Splunk, Torq, or Cortex XSOAR.
• Experience with scripting, APIs, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar automation tools.
• Previous experience within an MSSP, MSP, VAR, or consulting environment.
• PCNSE is a plus but not required.
