AssemblyAI is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to own operational security and GRC across SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI 4.0. The role focuses on running end‑to‑end audit cycles, evidence gathering, and remediation coordination while growing automation and tooling for the security program.

You will collaborate with engineers, sales, and legal to address customer security needs, manage vendor risk, and implement scalable security processes in a fast‑growing, remote‑first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security operations, GRC, IT security, or related role.
• 2+ years with compliance audit cycles—evidence, controls, auditors.
• Security certifications such as CISA, Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI 4.0, and other audit cycles; collect evidence and coordinate with auditors.
• Own the compliance automation platform (Vanta); monitor status and maintain integrations.
• Run vendor and third-party risk reviews and security assessments of new tools.
• Partner with sales/legal to respond to security questionnaires and trust inquiries.
• Drive vulnerability triage, remediation tracking, and SLA reporting.
