Job summary

Sarsfield Group is seeking a senior security-focused engineer to own security across the stack, from design through deployment. You’ll work with engineering, report to a co-founder, and help shape the security program as the company scales.

We value deep security expertise, hands-on Go skills, and a collaborative, high-ownership mindset. This is a remote role with strong autonomy and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Deep security engineering expertise.
• Hands-on Go development experience.
• Secure design, code review, and in-product remediation.
• Experience building detections and incident response.
• Familiar with SIEM or detection-as-code stacks.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR/compliance frameworks.
• Willingness to own program work and lead security efforts.

Responsibilities

• Own security posture end to end with engineering from design to deployment.
• Build foundational security systems from scratch (secrets mgmt, PKI, audit logs).
• Lead security reviews, threat modeling, and secure design consultations.
• Drive SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA compliance from an engineering perspective.
• Define incident response processes and detection-as-code capabilities.
• Wear multiple hats across product, corporate security, and compliance.
