Wave is seeking an experienced security engineer to own application security across our platform. You’ll partner with product and platform teams to secure code, data, and integrations while shaping governance for AI-powered tools.

This broadly scoped role involves implementing guardrails to prevent prompt injection, credential exposure, and data exfiltration, and building solid security patterns. You’ll mentor engineers, drive security reviews, and contribute to compliance with standards like

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of professional experience with 3–5 years in security.
• Strong Python experience and secure coding practices.
• Experience building governance for AI/LLM usage in regulated environments.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate security concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own application security across Wave's platforms and APIs.
• Collaborate with product teams to design secure solutions.
• Define and enforce guardrails for AI-powered tooling and prompts.
• Lead security reviews, audits, and code reviews for multiple teams.
