Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Security & Compliance Administrator to support a DoD customer, focusing on RMF/NIST compliance, data governance, and secure, interoperable analytics across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role requires a Secret clearance, strong experience with NIST 800-53 and SIEM tools, and a proactive approach to security automation and risk assessment. Remote work is supported for a part‑time engagement.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IA, CS, or 5 years of security/compliance experience.
• Experience implementing NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL-4/5 controls.
• Proficient in IAM, SIEM (Splunk), and zero-trust architectures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Kubernetes and data lake deployments for RMF/NIST compliance.
• Maintain continuous monitoring dashboards and run vulnerability scans.
• Prepare system security documentation (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms).
• Enforce encryption, logging, and IAM RBAC across data layer.
• Submit Security & Compliance Assessment Report with remediation actions.
