Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the role of Security Consultant II in Cambridge, MA (remote from anywhere in the United States).

You will ensure successful network integration, support customers on Akamai platform, and implement security solutions to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with account teams, developing long-term network security strategy, and leveraging cloud services with expertise in IP networks, DNS, security, and IT systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or Information Technology Management and two years of related experience.
• Two years of experience in: security architecture review, risk assessment, threat modeling; security automation and DevSecOps; cloud containers (AWS IAM & CloudWatch, Kubernetes, Docker); CI/CD; security testing, vulnerability management, and runtime self-protections; API security; cloud infrastructure (Azure Security Center, GCP, EC2, S3, Lambda); and languages (Java, Python, Shell Scripting).

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful network integration and support of customers on Akamai platform.
• Implement solutions to help customers leverage Akamai security products.
• Understand system requirements and offer consulting services that meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture.
• Develop and deliver long term network security strategy and cloud solutions.
• Participate in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality.
• Utilize knowledge of IP networks, DNS & routing, internet protocols, web architecture, security event management, IT systems.
