Job summary

MoneyGram is seeking a Security Architect to shape security architecture across cloud-native, hybrid, and enterprise platforms. You will drive secure-by-design practices while enabling the business to innovate with confidence.

You will partner with product, engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate risks into concrete requirements, oversee threat modeling, IAM, data protection, and regulatory compliance, and maintain governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in information security with 3+ years in a security architecture role.
• 3+ years hands-on in cloud security.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security controls.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape our security architecture strategy with enterprise principles and reference designs.
• Translate security objectives and regulatory requirements into architecture requirements.
• Embed secure-by-design practices with product, engineering and operations teams.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud, application, data, and identity security.
• Review designs to identify risks and propose practical mitigations.
• Guide teams on threat modeling, IAM, data protection, logging, and resilience.
• Define security architecture for cloud-native, hybrid, and on-prem platforms.
• Establish scalable patterns for cloud adoption and infrastructure as code.
