Qualifications

• 8 or more years of security engineering or architecture with at least 3 in an architect role.
• Production experience across cloud, identity, AppSec, network, data.
• Hands-on threat modeling at architecture depth.
• Strong written communication; ADR samples will be requested.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Candidates located in the Houston, Texas area will be given preference; remote consultants will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set security architecture across cloud, identity, application, and data domains.
• Author reference architectures and ADRs that survive platform-vendor cycles.
• Lead threat modeling at the architecture level.
• Defend architecture tradeoffs to engineering and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with cloud security, AppSec, and IAM engineers on execution.
• Map architectures to applicable compliance frameworks.
• Mentor senior engineers on architecture-decision practice.
