Job summary

Hexion is seeking a Security Architect to design the security architecture for on‑premises infrastructure, Azure and AWS cloud platforms, and AI/OT integration. You will own reference architectures, security design patterns, and architectural standards, reviewing and approving designs before build.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years in information security with at least 4 years in security architecture or senior security engineering.
• Hands-on Azure and AWS security architecture experience at enterprise scale.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018, 42001, 27019 controls and practical application.
• Experience with identity, access management, and zero-trust networking across cloud and on‑premises.
• Familiarity with OT/industrial security concepts and physical security integration.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to defend designs to engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture of Hexion's on-premises estate and multi-cloud environments.
• Design reference architectures for network segmentation, zero trust access, and data center security.
• Define security standards for endpoints, servers, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Lead architecture reviews; evaluate new systems against standards and document compensating controls.
• Design detection and logging architecture with security operations; ensure telemetry covers on‑prem and cloud estates.
• Maintain the enterprise security architecture roadmap and prioritize investments against risk.
