Qualifications

• Must hold valid Texas teaching certification in the appropriate subject area.
• Willing to immediately obtain TxVSN Certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel 15-20% and work some evenings if needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent a commitment to equitable practice in all areas within the job description; use evidence to make decisions and provide individualized support to students.
• Manage a homeroom of students if required.
• Support the instructional program with asynchronous lessons and synchronous instruction, plus individual communications and intervention.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback for all student work, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents, students and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules, score assessments, provide feedback, monitor assignments, and coach special projects.
• Develop knowledge of the curriculum and the grades for which responsible.
• Proctor state testing and attend required school events and field trips.
• Participate in professional development and collaboration within the PLC.
