Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax prep software.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• 2+ years of experience preparing federal and state individual 1040 returns for clients.
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred.
• Experience with Schedule C (sole proprietorship)
• Experience with service-industry business tax returns
• Must possess or obtain state licenses/certificates
• Must possess an active PTIN
• Knowledge of Circular 230
• Proficient with technology and software tools
• Strong customer service via video and audio tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Willing to work during peak filing periods (Mar 15 and Apr 15)
• US resident required

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers via video/audio tools in a professional, friendly manner
• Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation and signature
• Answer product/software questions and explain tax calculations
• Filing tax extensions as needed
• Document customer interactions
• Aim to meet KPIs and program goals
• Participate in pilot testing and training as required
• Complete required trainings and up-skilling as directed
