Job summary

Calance is seeking a Scrum Master (CSM) / Agile Coach for a 12-month remote contract. The role guides agile teams, facilitates Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, removes impediments, and partners with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, maintaining healthy backlogs, achieving sprint goals, using Jira for metrics, and fostering trust and transparency across the organization. Remote hours Mon-Fri CST; W2 hourly pay options.

Qualifications

• SCM – Scrum Master Certification (REQUIRED)
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach for software development teams
• Experience with Agile project management tools and software development methodologies
• Strong facilitation and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and build effective working relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Experience using Jira to measure and analyze key Agile metrics
• Experience with Agile project management tools and software development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Advocate for continuous improvement using data-driven insights
• Coach team members on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks
• Foster accountability, transparency, and continuous learning
• Organize training to enhance Agile skills
• Utilize Jira to measure and analyze Agile metrics
• Identify and implement Agile process improvements
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams for a productive environment

This role is 100% REMOTE / Hours: MON-FRI 8AM – 5PM (CST)

Scrum Master to coach, oversee, and guide agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams. They will ensure the development teams follow appropriate agile framework values and agile practices (Scrum or Kanban), mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Guide and support Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and team level PI planning activities

• Organize and conduct training sessions to enhance team members skills in Agile methodologies
• Utilize tools such as Jira to measure and analyze key Agile metrics to drive continuous team improvement
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements and Agile best practices.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams and individuals, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• SCM – Scrum Master Certification (REQUIRED)
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach for software development teams
• Experience with Agile project management tools and software development methodologies
• Strong facilitation and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and build effective working relationships.

DESIRED SKILLS:
