Job summary

Connections Academy seeks a School Counselor for Minnesota Connections Academy (MNCA), an online K‑12 program. You will advise students and families on academics, graduation requirements, and course selection, working with the Manager of Counseling Services to develop counseling processes for middle and high school students.

The role requires Minnesota certification in School Counseling, strong technology and communication skills, and a collaborative, flexible approach to support students,

Qualifications

• Minnesota certification in School Counseling is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students, families and school teams remotely.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on academics, career planning and graduation.
• Assist with course selection and Four Year Plans.
• Maintain accurate transcripts and credits in the online system.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in crisis prevention and student support planning.
• Coordinate graduation ceremonies and AP/college prep activities.
• Be the initial contact for student concerns spanning multiple subjects.
