Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Remote American Sign Language Interpreter for a 1:1 school-based position in Summerville, SC for the 2026-2027 school year.

This full-time role offers competitive pay up to $50/hour, flexible schedules, W-2 employment with liability insurance, health benefits and a 401(k) match, plus licensure and CEU reimbursements.

You will provide direct ASL interpretation to a student during the school day, collaborate with the educational team, and support curriculum access.

Qualifications

• ASL interpretation experience or interest in school setting.
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required or willing to schedule test within the year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.
