Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Remote American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for the 2026-2027 school year in Summerville, SC. The role is full-time or part-time with a pay range up to $50/hour, offering W-2 employment, liability insurance, health benefits and a 401(k) with company match.

The interpreter will provide interpreting services to a student throughout the school day, support curriculum access, and collaborate with the educational team.

Qualifications

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required.
• EIPA Written Test completed or willing to schedule within the upcoming year.
• Experience in a school environment is preferred or open to school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one ASL interpretation for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
