Job summary

Somewhere is seeking a SCADA Developer to design and upgrade live industrial automation systems. This remote role requires collaboration with our U.S. team during business hours and hands-on work with Ignition and Rockwell platforms.

You will develop PLC programs, build SCADA/HMI applications, and integrate systems across databases and devices, delivering reliable solutions for demanding environments. Travel is occasional; strong English communication is essential for remote support and

Qualifications

4+ years in industrial automation / controls development.
Hands-on Rockwell/AB PLC programming (Studio 5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
SCADA/HMI development with Ignition preferred; other platforms acceptable.
Proficient with industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, EtherNet/IP).
Python/Jython scripting for Ignition development.
Strong, proactive English communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify Rockwell/AB PLC programs for new builds and upgrades.
Build SCADA/HMI applications in Ignition (Vision and Perspective): tag configuration, screen design, scripting, alarming, and security.
Integrate PLCs, SCADA, devices, and databases using industrial protocols (OPC UA/DA, Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP, DNP3).
Test and remotely support applications via VPN; assist with commissioning.
