Job summary

Softthink Solutions is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Material Master Functional Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support enterprise-level Material Master governance solutions. The role focuses on MDG-M, SAP MM processes, BRF+ validation, and data replication across systems.

The ideal candidate will configure MDG UI/FPM, CR types, workflows, data quality standards, and integration with IDocs/Web Services. Remote position with global project exposure and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG for Material Master.
• Good understanding of SAP MM and Material Master processes.
• Experience configuring MDG data models, UI/FPM, CRs, and workflows.
• BRF+ validation/derivation rules knowledge.
• Experience with DRF and Material Master replication.
• Familiarity with IDocs, Web Services/SOAP, ALE/RFC, SAP integration concepts.
• Experience in multi-system SAP landscapes and data governance.
• Requirements gathering, functional design, testing, UAT, and support.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate into Material Master governance solutions.
• Design and configure MDG-M data models, attributes, entities and relationships.
• Configure MDG UI/FPM and user-friendly maintenance processes.
• Define CR types and approve workflows.
• Configure BRF+ validation rules for accuracy and compliance.
• Enforce Material Master data quality across lifecycle.
• Configure DRF to distribute data to downstream systems.
• Work with IDocs, Web Services and integration tech for synchronization.
• Troubleshoot workflow, validations, data activation, and replication.
• Prepare functional specs and collaborate with technical teams.
• Develop unit tests and support SIT/UAT and production support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SAP functional and integration teams.
