Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a SAP HANA Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize HANA-native data models and analytical objects supporting S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and standalone HANA platforms.

You will translate complex analytics requirements into performant HANA models, diagnose and resolve HANA performance issues, and serve as the go-to expert for HANA internals and tuning. The role emphasizes collaboration with Basis, ABAP, and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of SAP HANA development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript.
• Solid understanding of HANA architecture and in-memory processing.
• Hands-on experience with HANA performance tuning tools and methodologies.
• Experience with HANA replication tools (SLT, SDI, SDA).
• Working knowledge of HANA security models including analytic privileges and roles.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA embedded analytics or BW/4HANA modeling.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop performant calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript procedures.
• Translate requirements into well-structured HANA data models balancing flexibility and performance.
• Optimize complex queries and data structures for performance.
• Lead HANA performance reviews and audits using diagnostic tools.
• Implement security models including analytic privileges and roles.
• Design and operate HANA replication scenarios (SLT, SDI, SDA).
• Support data tiering with HANA Native Storage Extension and dynamic tiering.
• Build HANA-native apps and procedures for Fiori, BW, and SAP BTP services.
• Lead capacity planning and sizing for HANA systems.
• Collaborate with Basis, ABAP, and analytics teams for integrated models.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor junior developers on HANA-native development and performance best practices.
