Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies in the United States is seeking an experienced SAP HANA Engineer for a 100% remote, full-time role. You will design, build, and optimize HANA-native data models supporting S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and standalone HANA platforms, translating analytics requirements into performant models.

The role emphasizes calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript, with strong focus on performance tuning and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
5+ years of SAP HANA development experience.
Hands-on with calculation and CDS views, AMDPs, SQLScript.
Knowledge of HANA architecture, in-memory storage and parallel execution.
Experience with HANA performance tuning tools and methods.
Familiar with HANA replication tools (SLT/SDI/SDA).
Understanding of S/4HANA embedded analytics or BW/4HANA modeling.
Strong SQL skills and excellent troubleshooting/documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript procedures.
Translate requirements into efficient HANA data models balancing performance and flexibility.
Optimize queries using partitioning, pruning, and parallelization in HANA.
Lead HANA performance reviews and audits with diagnostic tools.
Implement security models including analytic privileges and roles.
Design and operate replication in SLT/SDI/SDA, and use SDI/SDA for data flow.
Support data tiering with NEO storage extensions and dynamic tiering where relevant.
Develop HANA-native apps and procedures for Fiori, BW, and BTP services.
Lead capacity planning and sizing for HANA systems.
Collaborate with Basis, ABAP, and analytics teams for integrated solutions.
Maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, runbooks, and documentation.
Mentor junior developers on HANA-native development and performance best practices.
