Job summary
Dexis is seeking a Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) Consultant to provide advisory support and develop safety plans for complex technical environments. This 1099 contract position is remote in the continental United States, offering opportunities to shape safety guidance for testing, industrial, and field activities.
The role requires strong hazard assessment, risk management, and technical writing skills to translate safety requirements into clear, actionable plans and procedures that align
Qualifications
- Experience writing contract safety plans, accident prevention plans, or OSHA-compliant safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, MOSH, NIOSH, ANSI, Army safety requirements, and contractor management practices.
- Experience conducting hazard analyses, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
- Ability to translate complex safety requirements into clear, actionable plans and procedures.
- Excellent technical writing for proposals and compliance documentation for federal contracts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review safety plans aligned with requirements and operational needs.
- Assess activities to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend controls.
- Establish guidance for incident prevention, reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
- Define safety training, personnel readiness, and occupational health requirements.
- Recommend proactive measures to strengthen safety culture and prevent incidents.
- Develop procedures and program elements to support safety implementation and continuous improvement.
