Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider is seeking an experienced developer for a remote Ruby on Rails position. This is a 12-month contract to enhance an existing application by adding new features. Responsibilities include both front-end and back-end development, participation in client meetings, and working within a team structure. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Ruby, Rails, and web security, along with a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience with command line, SSH, HAML, SCSS, and technical documentation creation.
• Ability to work independently and prior experience as a remote contractor.

Responsibilities

• Update and expand existing Ruby on Rails application.
• Incorporate new features requested by clients.
• Participate remotely in weekly meetings with customers.
• Design and develop internet/intranet systems.
