Baker Tilly is seeking a Ruby Developer to reduce technical debt while delivering solid REST API work and strategic ownership of technology outcomes. This remote role supports a Missoula, MT-based team with a strong backing of leadership and mentorship.

Expect 86,000–125,000 USD annually, plus full medical, dental, and vision, generous paid time off, and ongoing mentorship from day one. You will help patch Docker dependencies, integrate services, and drive performance wins.

Qualifications

• 6 years of Express.js practical experience.
• Strong REST API design and integration.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Land GitLab CI performance wins Baker Tilly can measure in MT retention numbers.
• Keep Baker Tilly's Docker dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents.
• Integrate third-party services and internal tools into the Baker Tilly stack.
• Turn vague technology tickets into crisp, testable Leadership acceptance criteria.
• Carry features from whiteboard sketch to Missoula, MT production without dropping the baton.
