As a Software Engineer on the Driving Empire team, you will build and ship live gameplay features, tackle technical challenges, and collaborate with designers and producers to push performance and player experience to the next level.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years Roblox or related game development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience shipping features or games in production.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily.
• Own and deliver gameplay features end-to-end from implementation to release.
• Break down requirements into technical tasks with estimates.
• Write clean, performant Roblox Lua code aligned with team standards.
• Design systems for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers on gameplay.
• Monitor live features, analyze performance, and address issues.
• Improve code quality, workflows, and system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering practices.
• Playtest features and improve player experience (UX, polish).
