Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Remote RN Utilization Management professional for an 11-week assignment in the Boston area. The role involves reviewing medical records remotely to assess medical necessity, payer compliance, and care efficiency to support optimal patient outcomes across the hospital system.

Qualified candidates will hold an MA RN license with 2-4 years in utilization management and managed care, plus InterQual experience. EPIC proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• MA RN license is required.
• 2-4 years Utilization Management experience.
• 2-4 years managed care experience.
• Line of Business experience (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial)
• InterQual experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records remotely to evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness.
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and optimize patient outcomes across the hospital system.
• Utilize EPIC and InterQual for documentation and decision support.

POSITION SUMMARY – Remote RN Utilization Management

POSITION DUTIES

Reviews medical records and clinical documentation remotely to evaluate the medical necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of healthcare services, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines and facilitating optimal patient outcomes across the hospital system.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• MA RN license
• 2-4 years Utilization Management experience
• 2-4 years managed care experience
• Line of Business experience (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial products)
• Interqual experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – EPIC Experience

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT

11 weeks

SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK

• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, no weekends, no holidays OR
• Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, 10 hour days, 6a-6p, 7a-7p, 8a-8p
