Job summary

Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is seeking a Full Time Surveyor RN to perform accreditation surveys and collaborate with hospitals to improve quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.

The ideal candidate has an unrestricted RN license, 5+ years of leadership in acute care, and experience with accreditation processes. Strong communication, education, and customer-relations skills are essential, plus willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license required.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Direct experience with hospital accreditation activities.
• Experience interpreting Medicare CoPs, state licensure, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and educational skills with ability to build relationships with customers and leadership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel by air and car; about 50–60% travel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using databases and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accreditation surveys for hospitals and health systems.
• Partner with hospitals to promote quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous readiness.
