Job summary

Nationwide Search is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Surveyor (RN) to work remotely anywhere in the United States. The role surveys ambulatory organizations under Joint Commission programs, analyzes standards compliance, and reports findings to leadership.

Requires RN licensure, a Master’s degree, and 5+ years in ambulatory care, with 3 years clinical and 2 years in management. CPHQ certification must be obtained by 12/31/28.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurses must have graduated from an approved school of nursing and have a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Current professional licensure in related discipline is required at the time of hire.
• Field Representatives in the Ambulatory program must have at least 5 years' experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• Leadership experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) or Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers (FQHC) is preferred.
• Experience must include a minimum three years of direct clinical experience and two years in management and or quality improvement.
• Current knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation process is required; ASC clinical experience with orthopedic, pain management and/or endoscopy preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs., climb stairs, travel nationwide 100% of work time; ideal candidates will have experience in a culturally diverse environment.
• Must be available to provide monthly availability and work two or three weeks per month.
• Certification requirement: You must hold a CPHQ certification (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) through National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) at time of hire or attain by 12/31/28.

Responsibilities

• Survey ambulatory organizations throughout the United States within the full scope of Joint Commission’s Ambulatory Programs.
• Engage health care staff in dialogues on standards-based issues to assess compliance and identify improvements.
• Prepare management reports linking standards deficiencies to system vulnerabilities and risk points.
• Communicate findings to leadership in a constructive, professional manner.
• Travel nationwide 100% of work time and support Joint Commission activities as assigned.
