Qualifications

• Must have completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed SMQT.
• At least two years of recent experience as a surveyor.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of healthcare facilities for compliance.
• Prepare for surveys including record review and staff interviews.
• Communicate non-compliance issues during exit conferences.
• Conduct follow-up visits to verify correction of deficiencies.
