Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Leverages clinical expertise to identify and validate DRG code assignments.
• Performs full review of CDI suggested code changes.
• Applies coding rules and regulations to validation review processes.
• Audits Medicare and non-Medicare charts for compliance with federal and state rules.
• Communicates DRG changes and rationale to CDI staff.
