Guardian Life is seeking an RN Clinical Consultant to support disability claim evaluations from a fully remote US location. You will analyze medical information, assess functional capacity, and provide clinical guidance to inform claim decisions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current clinical practice.
• 5+ years direct acute patient care experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a clinical consultant in LTD/STD.
• Strong knowledge of medical conditions, treatments and their impact on function.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review short- and long-term disability claims to evaluate medical documentation and functional limitations.
• Assess recovery timelines and impact on daily living activities; provide clinical recommendations.
• Collaborate with treating providers, claimants, and vocational specialists to coordinate care.
• Educate claims professionals on medical conditions and disability outcomes.
• Coordinate independent medical reviews and ensure timely resolution of complex questions.
• Manage high-volume workloads while maintaining customer-focused service.
• Mentor and train claims staff on medical and functional aspects of disability.
