Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team supporting the FAA's En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) program. The RMA Engineer will ensure air traffic systems meet stringent RMA requirements and operate reliably across the NAS.

You will collaborate across systems, hardware, software, maintenance, and logistics to drive lifecycle sustainment, perform RMA modeling, and develop tests and analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Mathematics, or related with 4–8 years experience, or a Master’s with 2–6 years.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles throughout the lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, documentation, and management.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for engineering documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical data, identify trends, and communicate findings.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain RMA requirements and specifications across the lifecycle.
• Perform system-level RMA modeling and performance predictions for reliability and availability.
• Support system and design reviews with RMA assessments and recommendations.
• Develop and support test plans, procedures, and evaluations to verify RMA.
• Perform failure analysis and trending; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support reliability growth initiatives by evaluating field performance and failure trends.
• Analyze field maintenance and data to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Develop and evaluate system sustainment scenarios and lifecycle planning.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware, software, maintenance, logistics, and test teams to integrate RMA.
• Provide RMA engineering support for FAA-sponsored programs within the NAS.
