Job summary

Great West, an Old Republic Company, is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to support our Colorado territory. This role may be fully remote, reporting to our Arlington, TX office.

You will partner with underwriting to evaluate risks, develop mitigation strategies, and grow profitability for insureds. The ideal candidate has a background in insurance or risk management, strong networking and public speaking skills, and a consultative approach to coaching and educating clients.

Qualifications

• Background in insurance, safety, commercial auto risk management, or loss prevention.
• Adept in networking, building relationships, negotiating, and problem-solving.
• Enjoy coaching, education, giving public presentations, and consultative approach.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent public speaking skills.
• Self-starter, organized, analytical, professional, and committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risks and exposures of motor carrier insureds and prospects.
• Collaborate with underwriting to develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Travel to insureds/prospects to visit region (>60%).
• Analyze state and regional loss trends to inform decisions.
• Schedule customer visits within assigned region with autonomy.
