Job summary

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors to perform on-site survey/inspection assignments in the Columbia, MO area, or nearby within approximately 45 miles. You will work from your own home or office and service surveys for commercial insurance clients.

Responsibilities include scheduling surveys, delivering risk control reports, and providing recommendations to mitigate loss. Access to equipment and flex schedules supports timely completion of assignments.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus.
• In lieu of experience, a 15-hour online certification option to qualify you is available.
• Fees are negotiable depending on experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports to insurance industry clients.
• Reports contain information to underwrite a commercial policy and may include recommendations to control loss.
• Manage assignments, secure customer appointments within a local territory, and complete work on time.
• Evaluate businesses to identify hazards and improve safety for insurance company clients.
