The role requires active CPC/CCSP or AHIMA certification, 2+ years of related experience, and proficiency with ICD-10-CM guidelines. A remote, production-based environment is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active CPC/CCSP or AHIMA certification is required.
• 2+ years of related coding experience.
• Ability to work remotely and independently.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM guidelines and coding/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient and outpatient records to assign ICD-10 codes for risk adjustment.
• Validate provider- or vendor-submitted documentation and codes for accuracy.
• Meet production targets with 95% quality audit accuracy.
• Document coder observations not captured in diagnosis coding.
• Assist Provider Educator during audits by answering coding questions.
• Update SOPs, DTPs and related documents.
• Participate in process-improvement initiatives for coding tools.
