Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Revenue Integrity Project Audit Nurse to support clinical audit operations and strategic revenue integrity initiatives. This role blends audit responsibilities with project coordination, data analysis, education, and workflow improvements to ensure accurate charges and compliant billing across hospital-based and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 5 years of clinical RN experience including 2 years in utilization review, charge audit, case management or denial/appeal in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management activities following established project plans.
• Assist in project execution through basic process analysis and issue tracking.
• Support project manager with tasks within scope, timeline, and objectives.
• Document audit findings and communicate results to impacted departments.
• Collaborate with Health Information Management, nursing units, physicians, informatics, and other departments.
• Develop comprehensive project documentation and status updates.
• Provide administrative support for special projects and meetings.
• Conduct clinical and billing audits to identify undercharges or overcharges.
