Job summary

Infinx, a fast-growing technology partner for healthcare providers, is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to process, review, and file insurance through claim resolution. You will also assist patients with billing questions and help collect balances.

You may work in teams or independently on multiple accounts as ACS Client base shifts. The role emphasizes accuracy, knowledge of medical terms and insurance processes, and the ability to use standard software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience in insurance AR and post-claim follow up.
• Physician claim billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance industry.
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type correspondence.
• Skilled in using computer programs and applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs various functions in the processing of insurance billing and collections, including Medicaid/Medicare claims according to the established policies and procedures
• Collects and enters patient's insurance information into ACS Compumed System
• Reviews, verifies, and submits insurance claims
• Processes correspondence from Third Party Payors and responds to patient requests
• Follows up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid in a timely manner
• Resubmits insurance claims that have received no response
• Answers telephones and provides/obtains information to resolve billing and collection issues
• Maintains supporting billing information for future reference or audit purposes
