Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management coding operations. This remote role provides leadership across hospital inpatient and outpatient coding, ensuring high performance and compliant processes.

The role emphasizes strategic, financial, and operational oversight of Revenue Cycle functions, collaboration with stakeholders, and ongoing development of staff and processes to support excellent patient financial experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree, 4 years of content/technical experience plus demonstrated results.
• 5 years related experience required.
• 5 years of people leadership experience required.
• One or more of RHIA, RHIT, CHRI, CCS, CPC, CCS-P, RN, CDIS, CDIP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for IP and OP Coding Functions and drive performance.
• Oversee coding operations to ensure quality, speed, and compliance.
• Establish KPI benchmarks and monitor performance to optimize cash flow.
• Manage budgets and workforce planning for Revenue Cycle functions.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and payer requirements.
