Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management specialist for US nationwide remote work. You will submit medical documentation, research denied claims, and manage billing processes with Excel and standard billing software.

Candidates should have a HS/GED or bachelor’s in business-related field, 2+ years RCM experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. The role includes competitive benefits and a 20.02–25.78 hourly range.

Qualifications

• HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
