Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 1 to shape tax administration and compliance statewide. You will analyze operations, develop and manage discovery projects, and promote voluntary compliance across tax systems.

Role emphasizes program planning, resource allocation, and collaboration with teams, with potential part-time telework and a standard 8:30–5:00 schedule, Mon–Fri, in Harrisburg or approved remote location.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 30 credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants may qualify if within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial, statistical, and operational analyses of enforcement programs.
• Determine and recommend efficient allocation of resources for each initiative.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to share best practices and study cases.
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing enforcement, collections, and audit strategies.
• Lead design and implementation of bureau tax compliance programs based on data and resources.
• Prepare reports, present project status, and draft notices and correspondence.

Education

Master’s degree in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or computer science

Bachelor’s degree including thirty credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, and/or computer science

Any equivalent combination of experience and training
