Job summary

DeepMind Technologies Limited is seeking a Research Scientist at the intersection of AI and Human-Computer Interaction to develop and execute a forward-looking research program on the future of Human-AI interactions. You will publish findings to academic and public audiences and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across DMI and DeepMind to translate research into societal impact.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Cognitive Science, or related field.
6 years post-PhD experience conducting research on Human-Centered AI topics.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a novel research agenda addressing high-impact questions regarding the future of Human-AI Interactions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues from DMI and DeepMind to develop and execute research and translate findings to product and policy teams.
Design, conduct, and analyze mixed-methods studies involving human subjects (lab studies, surveys, field experiments) for evaluating Human-AI Interactions.
Develop artifacts for advancing Human-AI Interactions, including hardware/software prototypes, new interaction techniques and interface designs.
Communicate research findings via peer-reviewed publications, whitepapers, tech reports, presentations and blogs.
