Job summary

JD Power is seeking a Research Scientist (P3) to analyze survey data measuring customer satisfaction. Remote across USA/Canada, you will bring Python, SQL, and statistics expertise to build advanced models and data pipelines.

You will collaborate with industry experts and senior researchers, contributing to syndicated studies for automotive, financial services, and other sectors. The role emphasizes independent analysis and client-focused insights while leveraging cloud-based tools.

Qualifications

• Masters with 2+ years of work experience or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Data Engineering, Psychology, Economics or related quantitative major fields
• 4+ years of an advanced understanding of statistics and/or machine learning methods
• Fluent in English (read, write and speak)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret survey research results measuring customer satisfaction
• Develop and run advanced statistical modeling, data mining and analyses on survey and non-survey data
• Create and maintain scripts to clean/manipulate data and calibrate model parameters
• Collaborate with researchers and scientists across JD Power to execute programs
• Work in a cloud computing environment and leverage analytical packages (Python, SQL, SAS)
