Job summary

STEM Sync AI is seeking a Research Physics Expert for a fully remote hourly contract (~$80-$135/hour). The project involves solving and validating complex physics problems and producing human-verified reference solutions for frontier physics reasoning.

Work asynchronously with a flexible schedule and a typical commitment of ~10 hours per week over an 8–10 week window. Ideal candidates hold a PhD or postdoc, have publications in the target subfield, and are proficient with LaTeX, Python, Jupyter,

Qualifications

Have strong relevant experience in the domain, ideally with a PhD or postdoc in the relevant subfield.
Hands-on familiarity with at least two canonical methods of the target subfield, demonstrable through publications.
3–5 representative publications, ideally within the last and in the target subfield.
Working proficiency with LaTeX, Python, Jupyter, and SymPy.
Strong written English proficiency (B2/C1/C2 minimum; native or near-native preferred).

Responsibilities

Contribute to research-grade physics benchmarks used to evaluate advanced language models.
Solve, review, and validate complex physics problems across multiple specialized subfields.
Help produce fully human-verified reference solutions for frontier physics reasoning.
