Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Research Billing Coverage Analysis Coordinator to ensure proper billing of protocol-driven clinical research services under Medicare policy and local regulations. The role includes reviewing protocols, sponsor agreements, and informed consent forms, and working with study teams to prepare billing analyses prior to study activation.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in research billing, coverage analysis, and clinical trial operations, with experience in CTMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• With Bachelor's degree, requires one (1) year of related experience.
• With an Associate's degree, requires five (5) years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review research protocols, sponsor agreements, informed consent forms and related documents. Analyze Medicare benefit policies and coverage determinations to create coverage analyses.
• Collaborate with trial Principal Investigators and study teams to review procedures and conduct feasibility assessments.
• Assist in the creation of study budgets and ensure treatment costs are included and accurate.
• Provide clear documentation of analyses with coverage determinations and citations.
• Serve as a liaison with UNC Health Integrated Billing Office and resolve billing questions as needed.
