Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Release Manager for a 12-month contract, fully remote. You will own the release calendar, run go/no-go meetings, manage Azure DevOps pipelines, and coordinate change management for secure, compliant releases across multiple environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in release management or DevOps in regulated industries, with strong ITIL CAB experience and .NET to Azure familiarity. USC/GC eligibility required for client.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in release management or DevOps in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps with multi-stage pipelines, release gates and branching.
• Experience releasing .NET applications to Azure.
• Strong ITIL change management and CAB knowledge.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, government, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Own the release calendar across development, QA, UAT and production.
• Run go/no-go meetings, release readiness reviews and retrospectives.
• Manage release pipelines and environment management in Azure DevOps.
• Coordinate change tickets, CAB approvals, maintenance windows and rollbacks.
• Ensure security, compliance, and audit signoffs before release.
• Track scope, dependencies and risks; report to engineering leads and stakeholders.
• Drive automation and improve deployment frequency and quality.
• Own release notes, runbooks and deployment checklists.
