Job summary

Guardant Health, Inc. is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist II to drive payment for services and optimize billing processes. You will partner with Finance and Client Services to address complex claims and support patients through the reimbursement lifecycle.

Responsibilities include appealing denials, evaluating EOBs, and communicating with payers. The role requires HIPAA-compliant handling of records and strong MS Office skills within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in professional and facility coding, billing, and collections
• Experience contacting insurance carriers on denials, requests for reconsideration, and appeals
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid
• Proficient computer use, data entry, and fast typing
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office including Excel
• Familiarity with payer portals and national/regional payers

Responsibilities

• Enter data accurately into systems and label accounts
• Assist patients with reimbursement and provide superior service
• Resolve most patient concerns without escalation
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, billing, and payment responsibilities
• Draft written appeals with a track record of success
• Interpret EOBs for follow-up or appeals
• Share medical records with providers and carriers per HIPAA requests
• Collaborate effectively in a team to meet goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned
