Job summary

USMD Hospital at Arlington is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to manage patient account follow up on hospital claims from the Arlington, TX area. The role is remote within the DFW region and requires strong knowledge of hospital payer rules and regulations, plus excellent communication skills.

You will handle cash postings, remittance processing, and coordination with insurance companies, while adhering to policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years of experience as hospital collector.
• Experience with Texas Medicaid and government payers (≥2 years).
• Microsoft Office literacy required; Meditech a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review all accounts with payments from the previous day.
• Review and resolve reminder queue daily.
• File secondary, tertiary, etc. paper claims as needed.
• Provide customer service for patients, internal customers and insurance companies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Cash Management Support: Posting electronic payments received daily.
• Print bank statements and review payments received.
• Print and file payment batches by date, batch number.
