Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business (Accounting or Finance preferred).
• Minimum of six years of related experience with financial accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for high level, complex reporting including Medicare cost reports.
• Internal reporting and analysis including 3rd party settlement calculations.
• Participates on system teams for Reimbursement filings and related projects.
• Provides leadership and guidance for Associate and Intermediate Accountants.
• Coordinates data collection for filings from facility departments, Decision Support, and Patient Account Services.
• Ensures consistent reporting where applicable.
• Reviews work performed by Associate and Intermediate Accountants.
• Coordinates filings-related activities including audits, desk reviews, reopenings and appeals.
• Researches complex issues and analyzes regulatory changes.
• Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and serves as contact for regulatory correspondence.
• Serves as back up to director.
