Job summary

The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission in Santa Fe is seeking a hearing examiner to serve as a public-facing administrative law judge in utility regulation. You will preside over evidentiary hearings, issue timely recommended decisions, and craft findings of fact and conclusions of law for Commissioners.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited school of law.
• Licensed to practice law in New Mexico or eligible to apply for admission.
• Experience in administrative law or regulatory proceedings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preside over public evidentiary hearings.
• Draft independent recommended decisions with findings of fact and conclusions of law.
• Advise Commissioners and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain orderly docket and manage case load independently.
