Job summary

World Fuel is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead field maintenance operations across Northern California with a remote field-based role. You will supervise a team of field service technicians, coordinate maintenance work, and manage outages, safety, and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable fueling infrastructure and customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years in maintenance operations or related field.
• Experience leading technicians and field personnel.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and decision making.
• Experience with work orders, service providers, and scheduling.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Teams/SharePoint).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionwide.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Field Service Technicians across the region.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor maintenance activities to ensure timely service.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to technicians.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for ops and maintenance issues.
• Monitor ticket response times and service levels.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and documented.
