Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a skilled Fuel Systems Field Service Technician to support California fueling locations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fueling equipment while ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations.

You will act as a field representative, addressing questions and service requests with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. This role requires travel and on-call responsiveness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair fueling equipment including dispensers, card readers, site controllers and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Replace parts and coordinate complex repairs with vendors.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement solutions.
• Maintain service records and repair documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections of fueling locations for safety and functionality.
• Order, install, and manage parts and materials for maintenance.
• Serve as primary field representative and deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent service needs.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across locations.
