Starting pay ranges from $130,000 to $200,000 annually, with potential bonuses and stock incentives based on performance. Responsibilities include managing a large contract surety book, meeting with agencies, evaluating principals, approving bonds, and traveling within the territory to foster agency relationships

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred.
• Five+ years of surety underwriting experience for larger contractors.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, bonds and underwriting philosophy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analysis skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage and develop a large contract surety book for the assigned territory.
• Identify opportunities and facilitate new accounts with agencies.
• Conduct meetings with agents and contractors; evaluate principals for surety credit.
• Approve bonds and programs within authority; recommend underwriting decisions.
• Travel to meet with agents, account executives and bond principals in your territory.
• Develop growth and profitability plans including cross-selling across surety lines.

Ausbildung

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics

AFSB/CPCU or similar designation training
